A través de las redes sociales la Premier League y todas las divisiones del futbol de Inglaterra y el Reino Unido han expresado sus pésames para la familia Real por la muerte del Príncipe Felipe, esposo de la Reina Isabel.
“La Premier League está profundamente entristecida al enterarse del fallecimiento de Su Alteza Real el Príncipe Felipe, Duque de Edimburgo. Nuestros pensamientos y condolencias están con Su Majestad la Reina, la Familia Real y todos aquellos en todo el mundo que están de luto por la pérdida de Su Alteza Real”, destacó la publicación de la Premier League.

“Como muestra de respeto, los jugadores llevarán brazaletes negros y habrá un minuto de silencio antes del inicio de todos los partidos de la Premier League que se jueguen esta noche y durante el fin de semana”, destacó la competición inglesa.
Mourinho mandó un mensaje a la familia
Por su parte, el técnico del Tottenham, José Mourinho mostró su respeto durante la rueda de prensa con unas sentidas palabras. “Quiero expresar mis condolencias a la familia real. Para ser sincero, tengo un profundo, profundo, profundo respeto por la familia real. Todo mi apoyo. No es solo este país el que siente su fallecimiento”
“Me da mucha pena su muerte porque solo puedo decir cosas positivas del significado de familia. Lo siento mucho, pero así es la vida y tenemos que mirar hacia adelante”, apuntó el técnico portugués.

“Es un profundo pesar que su majestad, la reina anuncia la muerte de su amado esposo, su Alteza Real, el Píncipe Felipe, Duque de Edimburgo. Su Alteza Real falleció pacíficamente esta mañana en el Castillo de Windsor”, dicta el comunicado oficial del Palacio de Buckingham.
El Príncipe Felipe falleció a los 99 años de edad debido a complicaciones de salud que derivaron en su hospitalización por un mes, además de una cirugía.
